If you’re looking to deploy UGC into your strategy right away, consider these three ways of encouraging your customers to share their experience online.
- Have an iPad with UGC showing by checkout:
Put together a slideshow of UCG content and prominently display your store’s Instagram profile so that customers know to tag your page. They’ll start brainstorming social posts before they have their drinks in hand. By the time they have their cat lattes, they’ll know that they should take pictures of the epic experience BEFORE taking a sip!
- Create a hashtag campaign such as #BLYNLovesLattes and print on cups, coffee sleeves, and napkins.
Encourage customers to post pictures of their cozy coffee experiences online, and give away one free latte per week for a hand selected piece of user-generated content. This will encourage customers to tag your shop in their posts on social media platforms, making your shop easy for locals to discover. Just make sure to ask consumers for their permission from your customers before you re-post.
- Give customers a free bagel/coffee if they share a review on Google/Yelp.
This one’s pretty obvious- everyone loves free bagels! This trick will lead to engagement on platforms that make it easy for future customers to find you when they search for Best Bagels or Best Coffee Place. Plus, by providing free bagels as an incentive, you’re guaranteeing that your customers will return, add to the chatter in your fine establishment, and probably order another coffee to have with their free bagel.
